The ability to mark emails has having been sent outside of Odyssey is part of the Advanced Email Module


Mark emails as having been sent outside of Odyssey

The email reminders function is a valuable feature in Odyssey, but sometimes 

  • emails are sent outside of Odyssey, perhaps from your accounting software, or your regular email address ....  
  • and sometimes, only the organiser in a group receives an email, and you don't want reminders for the other members of the group - 
  • or, in some cases you simply might be choosing to not send the reminder emails and don't wish the alerts to be visible 

so we have provided a way that you can tell Odyssey that these emails have been sent "manually".   This will create a "sent" record in Odyssey, thus disabling the reminder, so that you aren't reminded about something you have actually done, or don't wish to be reminded about.


If you need Odyssey to record that those "manually sent" emails have been sent:

1.  From the Departure, click on the email Tab

2.  Tick the box/boxes of the email/s you wish to MARK as sent, as per the Waiver box in the example below

3.  Click the  Manually button

This will ensure that the "emails to send" indicators provide an accurate indication of your email communication status with the recipient

Clicking on the Edit/Resend button at the right hand end of the record, enables you to view the history of the sent email.  Navigate to the appropriate tab (Finance emails, Customer Service emails, Operational emails) and you will see that there is a complete record of the email history; when it was sent, that it was sent manually, and by whom.
