How to set up for Ody Shop

What set up is required in Odyssey for OdyShop?


  1. Masters

Set up any Masters required for the packages you wish to sell on Ody shop.

Odyssey's list of trip masters. You can define which of these are sold via OdyShop
  1. Managing all of the settings required for customising Ody Shop is then done from Odyssey's Main Menu | Ody Shop menu

Main Menu | Settings | API settings | Ody Shop settings.

Maintain Ody Shop Masters


From the Main Menu | OdyShop menu, select Maintain Ody Shop Masters


A list of all of your Masters appears, along with how each of these Masters are configured for Ody Shop.

  • Click on each individual Master, to configure it as required for Ody shop

Configuring this Master for OdyShop

General

  • Slide the slider to orange if:
    • this Master should display in the online shop
      • Not all of your Masters may be suitable for a client to buy online, for example multi day and custom trips will require some liaison with your reservation staff before the client wishes to commit online
    • Emergency contact details are required
        • For a one day bike hire, for example, this may not be required
    • The number of spaces still available to book should be displayed in Ody Shop
  • Enter the Package Price
  • Blocked hours: Define how many hours before the booking this can be purchased (this affects the calendar options available to the client).
  • Minimum and Maximum number of clients who can be booked on this trip can be defined on this Master, on the Details tab.

Description


  • Enter text description of the product being purchased, stating trip inclusions etc.  (Max approx 1500 characters / 175 words)

Bike

  • Slide the slider to orange if
    • Bike options should show in OdyShop
      • If this is just a shuttle hire or a non riding activity, for example, bike options may not be required
  • Tick on each bike type that is available for selection in OdyShop
  • Enter a figure to represent how many bikes should remain in stock as a buffer, before the bike is considered 'out of stock'
  • Enter a daily rental price for each bike type, or leave the price blank if the cost is included in the package price

Extras


  • Tick on each Extra (such as Panniers, Gel Seats) that is available for selection in OdyShop
  • Enter a daily rental price for each extra, or leave the price blank if the cost is included in the package price

Shuttle



  • Define which Shuttle can be selected in OdyShop for this Master, either with a Daily Rental Price, or without when it's part of a Package bundle

Payments


  • Make selections for which payment options will be available in OdyShop:
    • Full payment - Online
    • Full payment - Pay Later
    • Deposit - Online  ( calculated at x% )
    • Deposit - Pay Later  ( calculated at x% )

  • The OdyShop Master list then displays a summary of the selections you have made


  • Click the Update button for each Master, once you have finished making your selections.  


2. Email Content


When making a booking through Ody Shop, your clients will be given a choice of whether

  • they wish to make no payment at this time
  • they must pay in full, or a deposit
  • or choose from bank deposit or online content

Work with the Creative Technology team to set up a template in MailJet (base it off DEMO's sample MailJet template for Ody Shop), so that an email will go to the client with the appropriate sections based on the choices they have made.

OdyShop's API settings


  1. Finance Settings


The Odyssey client needs to set up a Stripe account


  • If our Odyssey client wishes to use a stripe account for online payments, they will need to set this up, and provide us with a link to use in email communications, and finance settings, etc.
  • Stripe's API settings are set from the Main Menu | Settings | Financial Settings | Banking Details tab
  • All the other bank account details will be required here too.
