Provider Types

There are 5 different Provider Types to enabling filtering within different parts of Odyssey.  


The five different Provider Types

The five Provider Types:

  1. Accommodation - The place a client stays over night
  2. Activity - An additional or included activity as part of an overall itinerary, supplied by a separate company.
  3. Transport - A Train, Helicopter, Flight which is additional or included as part of an overall itinerary, supplied by a separate company.
  4. Meals - Restaurant meals, lunches, etc that may or may not be charged for.  But need to be included as part of an overall itinerary.
  5. Other - This allows for internal or misc items to be included on a Booking. One of our clients uses it creatively to add more graphic images to their Daily Itinerary.


Each Provider type has a different icon to represent the theme of that Type.   Each company can define their own description and select from the list of icons.   Learn more about changing Provider type names and icons here

Rate Labels

There are Rate Labels that are editable and stored for each Provider type.  


Instead of the label just saying Rate 1, Rate 2 etc, there is the ability to use labels which are appropriate for that industry, as shown in the example below. e.g. Adult, Child, Student, Senior, or 2 PAX, 1 PAX, Extra, Child

Where are Provider types used?


The values in these 5 levels are used to populate :

  • Menus
  • Headings
  • Button Labels
  • Field Labels
  • Hover Tooltips - help-text
  • Field prompts - when a field is empty
