What does "released" mean?

Released" means the Reservations Team have met all of their own business's internal criteria** and have now handed the departure over to the Depot (Ops and Bike teams) to manage.

** "Internal Criteria" :

This means your own company can have it's own business rules about what is considered "Released".

It could be that the Departure has met it's minimum PAX requirement, or all communications have been made and now it's being handed over to the Guides to manage and monitor, or all client/bike heights are entered, or all payments have been received - it's up to your own business to determine your own workflow, and what this released status means to you. In the case of our Demo company, it means the Reservations team are indicating to the Depot staff that this trip is "good to go".

The Departure | Details | Details screen has a tick box which says "Released"

Hovering over the Released tickbox provides a hover tip which says:  "This departure is released for subsequent workflows. e.g. Depot staff can see/use this"

This reminds you that care should be taken when making changes to this field as it could potentially change any subsequent workflows !" (Note: To un-Release the departure, click the Released tickbox back on the Departure | Details tab
