Masters - Download and Upload records
This feature is currently under development.
The ability to Download and Upload Seasonal Master records for SMS Texting, Itinerary Text and Directions text, provides Odyssey clients with the ability to add text records in an Excel or Google Sheet format for speedy entry and review. (Alternatively, the data can be entered manually in Odyssey, in each Seasonal Master record)
How to Download records
The purpose of downloading the existing records (even if those records are already blank) is that it provides you with the correct column headings and data structure, to correctly enter the new data.
- From the Main Menu | Master | Options click the Downloads the "Imports" Template button
- Select a Season whose records you wish to download
- Click either Itinerary, SMS texts, or Directions
- the file will then be downloaded to the "Downloads" folder on your computer
- open the .tab / .txt file, and begin editing.
- You can: Update the content in AM Text and PM Text fields, and AM Labels and PM Labels fields. Note that any return characters in the .tsv file will be displayed as @@@ and will be replaced with return characters when they are imported back into Odyssey.
- Do not reorder or change any columns, or headings.
- Do not touch content in the UUID, TrailCode,Master Code, Master Name, DayNo, From, To, AM Print, PM Print, fields
How to Upload updated records
- Once you have completed the changes in the spreadsheet, save the file as a .tsv (tab separated) file, in a location where you can easily find it.
- From the Main Menu | Master | Options click the Upload your bulk records button
- drag and drop the .tsv file into the "Drag your file here" box
