Asset Inventory - Overview

Asset Inventory is an Advanced Module

Odyssey's Asset Inventory system allows you to manage and allocate your bike stock.  It is available from multiple locations within Odyssey, via the pop-up, quick access menu.

Phase 1, which we are currently developing, focuses on ensuring your bike stock is not over allocated.  Therefore, while a bike number is assigned to a booking, this is not necessarily the actual bike that the Depot staff will allocate to a client.

Phase 2, will enable Depot staff to capture the ACTUAL number of the bike that has been allocated to the client/booking.

Features:

Live and dynamic entries are created in the asset inventory in Odyssey, as each departure, for each client, size and model of bike is booked.  As each of those entries are added to Odyssey, the asset inventory will automatically populate with RED entries.

Pre & Post days can be allocated via trip masters and departures, to enable you to keep bikes free for any pre or post trip requirements such as servicing, relocation, prep, etc.

This  allows for each Bike type  to have a different number of Pre / Post days, eg:

  • There maybe a difference between the amount of servicing each different Bike model requires
  • Or based on the duration of each Master, there maybe different amounts of POST servicing required... ie: less days for a small number of hire days, or more days if it was in use for longer.

How it works:

There are system wide settings per 'Bike Type', per Trail/Category/Master, that define how many days you wish to allocate for relocation days and servicing.  Learn more Here.

At a management level

  • There is the ability to reserve stock, bring stock in, put stock on hold for an enquiry that isn't yet a booking, and mark stock as being made redundant from a set point in time   - for a single bike or a selected number of bikes.
  • There will be different coloured Status' (our clients create their own legends and colour descriptions) to define whether stock is being moved off to another trail, depot level swap out a bike where there is a failure and swap for another bike from this point onwards.
  • At this view, there will be also be the ability to edit to manipulate, and find gaps to squeeze bookings in. These changes will automatically change the allocation of any bikes at the reservation level.

At Reservation level:

Bikes can be put on hold, with a note of the client's name, and later assigned to existing departures.  The name of the team member who allocated the bike is recorded on the inventory list.

At Depot level

Bikes can be put on hold, with a note of the client's name, and later assigned to existing departures.  The name of the team member who allocated the bike is recorded on the inventory list.
