Email template components

These are just some of the components that can be included in an email template. They can also include various graphic elements such as different coloured backgrounds and text, dividing lines, etc.

A key point to understand is that each template can also contain conditional sections to produce different text or graphics depending on the condition.

Some examples:

• the graphic image at the top of the email can be different for each trail, or category, or country (Level 1) that you use
• Text blocks can also be included for each different trail, category, or country (Level 1) and the appropriate text block is included only if the condition is met, e.g. If L1=AlpstoOcean then include the text in this block
• Or the condition might be using a client level mergetag, such as
  • if Height < 1, then include the text in this block
  • or if Height > 1, include the text in this block
  • or if the Client is the Payer, include the text in this block

MergeTags

Merge tags are the pieces of information like this {{var:FirstName:""}}, which pulls the relevant information out of Odyssey, and into your email.
