Create and Manage Guides

A tour guide is a person who leads and provides information to individuals or groups on your organized tours. Their main job is to ensure the safety of your guests, and give them a smooth and comfortable travel experience, while also informing them about any historical, cultural, or natural attractions.


To create a new Guide record:


  • From the Main Menu | Resources | Guides | Staff menu, choose Guide List

Learn more about the Guide List here

  • Click the New button

Click New to create a New Guide record
  • Complete the Guide's personal details:

Details tab: Personal details such as first name, last name, preferred name, and contact details, including a space for you to record Office Notes on this guide, such as their areas of expertise, or availability.

Personal Tab: contains fields for Date of Birth, and address

Licence|Certificate: Provides spaces for you to enter drivers licence details and expiry dates, and first aid details.

Guide - Licences/Certificates

Medical: Provides space for you to record Medical conditions and medication, blood type, dietary requirements and comments, fitness, weight and height details

Emergency: Provides space for you to enter up to two sets of emergency contact details

Bookings: Odyssey automatically lists any tours this Guide has been assigned to

Communications: Odyssey lists any emails sent to this Guide.
